Cafes to Work in Da Nang Near Hai Chau and the Han River

The best cafes to work in Da Nang's Hai Chau district are The Local Beans, which has a quiet third-floor workspace with day passes, HI4 Coffee & Workspace, which is open 24/7 and library-quiet, and WONDERLUST on Trần Phú. For a proper coworking desk with meeting rooms, cirCO on the 30th floor of the Crowne Plaza is the city-centre option. Most of Da Nang's other laptop cafés are across the river around An Thuong, a short Grab ride away.
Why cafés matter so much in Da Nang
Da Nang has fewer coworking spaces than Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, so for most remote workers cafés are the office. The good news is that the café culture is strong, and several places are built with laptops in mind: plenty of sockets, air-conditioning, and floors set aside for quiet work.
To be honest about geography, the biggest cluster of work cafés is on the beach side, in An Thuong, Bac My An and Bac My Phu. Hai Chau has fewer, but the ones it has are solid, and the rest are within a short ride across the bridges.

How to pick the right spot
For video calls
Pick somewhere with a quiet floor or a private room. The Local Beans' workspace floor and cirCO's meeting rooms are the safest bets. Cộng is lovely for a quick call by the river, but it's a café first.
For deep focus
HI4's no-noise rule and XLIII's quiet, high-ceilinged room make them good for long stretches of focus. Arrive early for a seat near a socket.
For US or European time zones
If your team wakes up while Da Nang goes to sleep, HI4 is open around the clock and cirCO's dedicated desks include 24/7 access. HIVE stays open until midnight.
For working with children
Six on Six has a play area. It's one of the few cafés where that combination actually works.
What a work session costs
At Western-style cafés, guides put an espresso at around 35,000–45,000 VND and an oat-milk flat white at 60,000–90,000 VND. Local cafés are usually cheaper. Day passes run from 99,000 VND (The Local Beans' workspace floor) to roughly 210,000–260,000 VND at HIVE.
Rainy-season tip
October and November are the wettest months, and some days it rains from morning to night. Having a work café you can reach quickly matters more then. Guides also recommend keeping 4G data on your phone as a backup, because storms can bring power cuts.
